Kel headshotI’m a native Californian in Switzerland working with marketing directors and general managers on the planning and implementation of European marketing platforms and initiatives.

For the past 20 years I’ve held roles spanning large account sales, customer development, and technology for fortune 500 companies and startups in retail, low-tech and high-tech industries.

Currently, as freelance strategist and marketing consultant, I work with European brands on 12 –  24 month contracts leading digital transformation initiatives, programs and projects across the EMEA region. I assume the role as interim Head of Digital for companies or regions that don’t yet have those skills or resources in house.

In 2015, after leading customer facing operations for a global media and publishing platform and successfully scaling digital, content and social media operations for a global community of more than 500,000 end users, I wanted to share my knowledge with other small business owners and startups.

Not every small business can afford to hire a consultant, so I founded Communityworks.

Communityworks offers small businesses and startups my knowledge and tried and true, sustainable tactics and strategies that can help small businesses and strategies support growth, revenue, retention, and loyalty goals.

Lastly, because everybody needs digital skills, not everybody can afford a consultant or monthly service fees, in 2017 I started Drop in Digital, free Saturday Morning digital consulting services. For the price of a coffee and croissant anyone with questions about digital and business building can drop by for consultation and conversation.

The altruist in me is also a strong believer in the power of diversity and gender equality. In 2015, I kick started Women in Digital Switzerland city meet-ups, networking, community building, and knowledge share to help raise the visibility of the talented female across the country. We’ve grown to an association of more than 1500 women (and men!) in six cities since.

From working the sales floor in retail to managing large accounts for Fortune 500 companies, and from running the production line of handmade wood skis to architecting customer facing operations for SaaS platforms, my experience is as broad and varied as I am curious.
