This month’s My Fave Five focuses on the people and places that can help you cut through the noise and find your way to useful information, fast! These are just a few of the many people and resources I turn to daily. Have a look, bookmark them and stay tuned for more people-and-places posts coming your way.
If you’re in marketing chances are you already know about the Content Marketing Institute. Their mission is to advance the practice of content marketing. If you are new to content marketing or want to learn more, their website is full of practical, how-to guidance. They have a broad network of experts sharing insight and advice and an active community for discussing the latest news and advances that are moving the industry forward. You should definitely join Monina (community manager extraordinaire) at their #CMWorld Tweetchat every Tuesday, and check out their content Content Marketing University.
It seems like MarketingProfs have been around forever, and at the same time, they keep things current, providing practical and hands-on education designed to meet the most in-demand marketing skills, as well as learning programs for in-house teams. Also, they just re-launched their website and it looks awesome. The new design makes it easier to go through the tens of thousands of marketing resources that they’ve created since 2000. Before you dive into this revamped, online library full of knowledge “candies and treats” make sure to read this post from Ann Handley. And before you go, make sure to check out one of my favorites sections: #MarketingSmarts podcast hosted by Kerry O’Shea Gorgone, with industry experts and thought leaders. Hands down, it is one of the best out there. (Yes, I listen to it passionately, on loop. The content is really that good)
If you haven’t crossed paths with Pam, then you must. She is a one-stop shop for Global Content Marketing AND Sales Enablement. Pam has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, she is a renowned speaker, and on her website, you will find great resources (for free or at rock-bottom prices) to will help you connect sales and marketing with your global audience. From courses to blog posts, including her #7MinMarketing podcast, she’s got your back. One of my favorite people is Mack Collier, not only for marketing but for everything he knows and gives. No list of digital marketing professionals is complete without him and if you want to take your digital and marketing strategy to the next level, Mack is your man. His consulting and mentoring services are designed to make social media and content strategies more effective and efficient and, without saying, he is THE SOURCE of creating brand loyalty with the people who matter most. Here’s what he has to offer and if you want to get to know him better, join his weekly #BlogChat on twitter and read his blog. I have a confession: I’ve worked with Mack in the past and have been a fangirl since. Your business will be 1000% times better with him by your side.
Last, but not at all least, is Andy Crestodina: speaker, content marketer, co-founder of Orbit Media and peep extraordinaire. He is also the author of Content Chemistry, one of my absolute favorite books. If you’re looking to plan, build and maintain your website then you’re in the right place. But if you want to connect the dots between data and success, you are ABSOLUTELY in the right place. Andy is the undisputed King of digital strategy and analytics (says me). Make sure to check out the blog, his oodles of practical tips on content marketing, analytics, and web design. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
